Week 8 Betting Notes and Trends
- What I’m about to share with you on a betting trend is a bit surprising to say the least. Kliff Kingsbury is 19-8-1 ATS on the road in the regular season, but an astonishing 15-4-1 ATS as a road underdog. The Cardinals are +3.5 at the Vikings this Sunday.
- Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers when they travel to Buffalo on Sunday night will be a double-digit underdog for the first time in Aaron Rodgers’ career with him taking the starting team’s snaps. They are at +10.5 going to upstate New York for the Chris Collinsworth Slide game.
- The numbers in the Patriots/Jets game tells us the line being under 3 is rightly appropriate. The Jets have won four straight ATS, but they are 7-19 in their last 26 AFC East games. The Patriots are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games coming off a MNF game, bur they are 0-4 ATS in its last four vs. AFC East.
- Despite the Panthers beating the Buccaneers at home last week, the Panthers are still just 2-7 in their last nine games against Atlanta ATS. The Falcons are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games and 5-0 ATS in their last five against the NFC.
- The Cowboys love playing teams with a losing record. The Cowboys are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games against a team with a losing record. The Cowboys are -9.5 against a short-rested Chicago Bears team who has a losing record. The Steelers are 0-9 SU in their last nine trips to Philadelphia. The Eagles are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven home games and are coming off a bye. The Eagles are favored by their largest margin of the season: -11.5 against the Steelers.
- An intriguing matchup on the west coast this week with two winning-record teams: Seattle Seahawks against the red-hot New York Giants. The Geno Smith Game is about o be in full effect. The Giants are 5-0 ATS this. year as underdogs. The Seahawks are 3-1 ATS in the last four games.
