Saturday, October 15 was the best college football day of the season. It wasn’t even close. #ShakeupSaturday didn’t disappoint by any measure. One would say that it was an expensive weekend for most, but that’s what happens when you snap a 15-game losing streak against a rival. Rocky Top deserved that win and so did the fans as you could see in their jubilation on the field. Hendon Hooker as we promised you four weeks ago is on track to be invited to the New York Athletic Club on the 2nd Saturday in December. He also needs to be considered for top-15 pick status at the NFL Draft. We had six ranked matchups and all of them were fourth-quarter games except for one. Someone tell James Franklin that the Big House’s architecture is just fine. The tunnel has stood for a few generations and that’s not the reason why your defense gave up 418 yards rushing. It’s because your team wasn’t ready for the moment and you’re a soft coach against Top 10 teams. When fans are allowed in the stadium, James Joseph Harbaugh doesn’t lose to you at home and hasn’t lost to anyone outside of its two biggest rivals: Ohio State and Michigan State. If Michigan is as for real as some think they are, the Paul Bunyan trophy needs to stay in Arbor next Saturday night, but we will get to that next week.
