WWE Money In The Bank Predictions
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to head to the bank because WWE is back with another live event in Toronto, starting at 7 PM EST. WWE has been delivering top-notch performances lately, and this show should be nothing less than excellent, featuring top talent from Smackdown and Raw.
Bron Breakker v Sami Zayn IC Championship
Man, what can you even say about Bron Breakker? The man is a genetic freak and a certified dawg, as Pat McAfee would like to say. Since entering the main roster, Bron has broken every opponent in half and aims to do that to Sami Zayn. Zayn has defeated all odds against every significant opponent, including Gunther, Gable, and Bronson Reed. His run has been nothing short of trials and tribulations, but he always finds a way to prevail. Barring any interference, I believe Bron Breaker’s momentum is too much for the ultimate underdog to overcome. Give me Bron for his first title reign.
Pierre’s Prediction: And New IC Champ Bron Breakker
With the way Bron Breakker has decimated the Raw roster, it doesn’t seem like there’s a way he will lose this match by pinfall. The only way I could see him not leaving with the title is due to disqualification of some sort. While it feels like Sami has more of a story to tell with the belt, how long can they keep a title off of Bron? I don’t know where Sami’s character would go next, but that makes this match so intriguing.
Tariq’s Prediction- Sami via DQ (Breakker snaps)
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match- Iyo Sky vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Zoey Stark vs. Chelsea Green
Both Money in the Bank matches are truly up for grabs, no pun intended. Almost anyone in this match could win it, and it would make sense. Naomi and Tiffany are my favorites, but someone like Chelsea Green with the briefcase would be entertaining television. Tiffany winning it while becoming close friends with Nia or Naomi having it while Bayley is still champion would be entertaining.
Tariq’s Prediction- It’s Tiffy Time
For those new to the Money in the Bank match, it determines the right to challenge any champion at any time and place, essentially offering a future championship opportunity. There is significant talent among these six women and many deserving candidates. Although one hometown hero may lose, I’m hoping for another to win. I’m rooting for Chelsea Green, who has gained a lot of fan support lately and could inject some excitement into the briefcase.
Pierre’s Prediction: Chelsea Green
Men’s Money in The Bank Ladder Match: Andrade, Carmelo Hayes, Chad Gable, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, LA Knight
Unlike the Women’s Ladder match, where I feel there are only two strong candidates to win, the men’s match is much more tricky to predict and filled with plenty of future world champions. Drew McIntyre could win to bolster his future feud with Punk, and Jey Uso could also win because of his ability to have a story with any championship he chooses. LA Knight could finally get his moment. WWE could entirely bank on the future and grant Carmelo Hayes a leapfrog to the top of the mountain, and lastly, Chad Gable could use the Money in the Bank briefcase to turn his recent lousy fortune around. Overall, I’m going with Jey Uso. After losing opportunity after opportunity, this could solidify him as THE main event.
Prediction: Main Event Jey Uso
Every person in this match could use this win, some more than others. Andrade, Chad Gable, or Carmelo Hayes could elevate themselves. While LA Knight and Jey Uso could take their hot crowd reactions to the next level. Drew winning it would be to help the story with CM Punk, but I’m not sure their story needs it. There’s a lot that could happen with this match, with the Bloodline, Wyatt Sick6, Logan Paul, and Punk potentially looking to settle some things. They may not all intervene but the possibility is there for all of them.
Tariq’s Prediction: Main Event Jey Uso
Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton vs. Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga or Tonga Loa
The Bloodline absolutely can not afford to lose this match after bringing Jacob Fatu into the fold, and taking out Paul Heyman. Their dominance should only be just beginning, so how does a team of powerhouses like Rhodes, Owens, and Orton lose a match like this? Will the Viper show his fangs?
Tariq’s Prediction- The Bloodline
The Bloodline is coming back with a new cast featuring a newly-appointed Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa. He has caused chaos in the locker room on Friday nights and has now targeted Cody Rhodes to reclaim his family’s lost legacy from Wrestlemania. Solo plans to form his new bloodline and has Owens and Orton, who have been battling the Bloodline for four years, in his sights. Meanwhile, Cody has a history with them. The heroes aim to end Solo’s plans finally, But the new bloodline must be taken seriously, so ultimately, they must emerge victorious here.
Pierre’s Prediction: The Bloodline
Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins World Heavyweight Championship Match
My favorite title run has been Damian Priest’s by a long shot. His matches throughout his reign have been amazing, and the storyline between him and Judgment Day has been fascinating. Seth Rollins, who took a break after a fantastic year of leading Monday Night Raw, made a surprise return to reclaim the prestigious World Heavyweight Championship. In recent weeks, Seth and Priest have exchanged many words, even setting the stipulation that if Seth wins, Priest leaves Judgment Day for good. I believe that’s precisely what will happen. However, the twist for me is that it won’t be a clean win for Seth Rollins. Finn Balor will somehow interfere, costing Damian the WHC and setting up their feud, leading to Summerslam.
Pierre’s Prediction: And New World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freaking” Rollins
Damian Priest has proven himself to be a worthy world champion, and this is likely the biggest test he could have outside of Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins made his return much earlier than everyone else anticipated. Similar to Sami, the Priest still has a story to tell with his title with his Judgement Day family one would assume. Although, with Gunther lurking, waiting for his championship match at Summerslam, I don’t see Priest or Rollins beating him there.
Tariq’s Prediction: Damian Priest
