I think it’s safe to say Elena Delle Donne is officially back. She’s starting to find her form, and after a couple of rough years, she seems to be close to 100 percent healthy. Nike introduced her first signature shoe a few weeks ago, which is huge.

The Mystics are currently 16-11 and sitting at fifth in the WNBA standings.

Delle Donne mentioned that the first half of the season went according to plan.

Shoutout to my guy Wayne!

In her last four games, Delle Donne has two games with 26 points and back-to-back double-doubles with 19 points and 12 rebounds, then 21 points and ten rebounds. She shot over 50 percent from the field in three of those games, including one shooting 71 percent. The stretch earned her Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

This season she is averaging 17 points, 6.4 rebounds, and nearly a career-high in assists with 2.2 per game. Those numbers are on shooting splits of 48 percent from the field, 41 percent from three, and 89 percent from the free throw line.

Remember, Delle Donne is the only player in WNBA history to have a 50-40-90 season. She has an effective field goal percentage (EFG) of 55 and a true shooting percentage (TS) of 59 percent, respectively.

She doesn’t currently qualify for leaderboards due to only playing 18 of a possible 27 games so far. If she qualified, she would rank ninth in points per game. That is an incredible feat because the last few years didn’t look too promising for her future.

Show some love to Evin!

Delle Donne is one of the most prolific and efficient scorers to ever touch a basketball. The game is better with her on the court, healthy, and at her absolute best. She makes the Mystics an instant title contender. She adds confidence, swagger, and leadership that most players can’t bring out.

Make sure you keep your eyes on the Mystics as she continues to ramp up her play going into the playoffs. They are currently battling with the Connecticut Sun for home-court advantage. The last time Delle Donne was healthy in the playoffs, they won the WNBA Finals.

The game missed you, EDD.
